Since 1965, we have been raising and processing our meats and cured meats directly with passion. Since our foundation we have taken care of the land intended for herds and grazing, we scrupulously select the meats, and process them fresh to guarantee a sustainable and quality product; from delicatessen to gourmet catering.
The entire Bongenus production is carried out in Italy. Knowledge and careful selection of garments result in having an exclusive product, in which taste and authenticity are enhanced, always paying careful attention to the well-being and health of consumers.
Bongenus cured meats are born from ancient traditional recipes, perfected by our master cured meat makers, who have combined the wise awareness of ancient local traditions with the use of modern and advanced technologies. The result is an excellent finished product in which taste and authenticity are enhanced.
Prepared following the ancient recipes of Calabrian master cured meat makers, our ‘nduja is a one-of-a-kind cured meat. The selected ingredients and a skilful blend of spicy chilli pepper and traditional aromas create a perfect balance between the enveloping heat of the chilli pepper and the sweetness of the pork. The soft and spreadable consistency makes it a versatile option to enrich any dish or prepare tasty aperitif crostini.
The journey of our meat is supervised and controlled in all its phases: from the selection of breeds, to breeding and slaughter. The combination of artisanal processing, the use of industrial systems and the choice of native ingredients such as chilli pepper and extra virgin olive oil allow us to guarantee the creation of unique and quality products, according to ancient traditional recipes.

To limit the impact that the company activity has on the surrounding environment, all energy resources come from the photovoltaic and solar thermal system. For our products we use recyclable packaging and labels, looking forward to switch to biodegradable materials within a year.
