We are proud to have our own farms and to collaborate with partners who share our same values, guaranteeing animal welfare and, consequently, the quality of the raw material.
Slaughtering is the first step in our production and is carried out with attention and professionalism. The transformation and processing processes of fresh meat are carried out in our factories in Italy, where our team of expert operators combines the guarantees and safety standards of industrial systems with the attention to the product that only artisanal processing can offer.
The production of Bongenus cured meats follows ancient artisan traditions, using only natural raw materials such as fennel, chilli pepper and extra virgin olive oil, for which we draw exclusively from Calabrian gastronomic reserves. The result is a vast range of products, from sausage to ‘nduja, all characterized by their uniqueness and authentic flavour.

IFS FOOD
The IFS Standard (International Food Standard) is a voluntary certification, assigned only to large scale retail distribution (GDO) suppliers capable of respecting rigid quality and supply chain standards. It is internationally recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), whose main aim is to promote food safety throughout the supply chain.
BRCGS FOOD
Like the IFS, the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety is also internationally recognized by the GFSI. The application of the BRC is a necessary prerequisite for exporting one’s products and is a recognized guarantee tool regarding the company’s reliability regarding the quality and health and hygiene safety of the products.
HACCP
One of the main control systems relating to food production, HACCP has as objective is to guarantee the final consumer the maximum conditions of food hygiene safety. The application of this protocol concerns the entire supply chain, from farms to the transformation and production of our products

Assigned by the Competition and Market Authority (AGCM), the Legality Rating certifies Italian companies that operate according to the principles of Legality, Transparency and Ethics. ClassyFarm is a system that monitors and guides the management of farms with a view to biosecurity, animal health and well-being, compliance with correct health and production parameters.
